#QuickTip Not too long ago, Obsidian added a very nice feature to show us the Release Notes inside of Obsidian whenever Obsidian is updated. ### What are Release Notes? Release Notes are a list of all the **new features** and **fixes** to the program in the most recent update to Obsidian. Obsidian is constantly being developed and it is a good habit to stay on top of new features and fixes. ![[9a7475fc9736e6975311fe6ff7473de2_MD5.jpg]] However, I often find that I don’t have the time to read the Release Notes when they appear after an update. So I tell myself I will read them a little later, but then I unintentionally close the tab. I thought the release notes then were gone forever. But they are not! There are two ways to see the Release Notes for updates to Obsidian. # Command Palette > Show Release Notes Using the Command Palette, invoke the “Show Release Notes” command. ![[fb933e2631314681a49354fe24aef1cc_MD5.png]] This simple command reloads the release notes back into Obsidian for us to read. Super simple, but I find it very useful. Plus, even though I may have read the Release Notes, I find myself at times wanting to go back to re-read them to make sure I understand a new feature. Again in this case, “Show Release Notes” in the command palette comes to the rescue. # Latest Announcements on the Forums You’ll notice that the Release Notes that are displayed in Obsidian only show the previous few updates. What if you want to see updates going back over the last few months, or even longer?
